“Accredited” appears on many storefronts. What does it actually mean, who grants it, and how do you check before paying? This guide explains vocational-training accreditation in Algeria and teaches you to verify it yourself. Who grants accreditation? Private vocational-training institutions are accredited by the wilaya director of vocational training (executive decree 18-162 as amended by 20-340). An accredited institution holds an accreditation decision with a number, date and wilaya . Lacking accreditation is not suspicious in itself (many language schools legally operate on a trade register) — falsely claiming it is the problem. Verify in 3 steps Ask for the accreditation decision's number, date and wilaya. Contact your wilaya's vocational-training directorate. Match name and address: the decision covers one institution at one address. International certificates? Golden rule: an international certificate is issued by the body's own system (Cisco, Cambridge, ICDL…), never printed by the center. These bodies publish public directories of their centers — search them before paying. Formaxi badges The “Accredited” badge means the academy declared its accreditation number and our team matched the declaration against the national list or the decision — Formaxi matches, it does not accredit. “Accredited with {body}” means we found the center in that body's official directory. Badges shorten your research — they do not replace it. If you run a training institution This guide is on your side. An institution holding a numbered, dated accreditation decision loses nothing to verification — that is exactly what sets it apart from whoever writes “accredited” on a storefront with no document. And it is why the “Accredited” badge means something on Formaxi: it is earned after matching, not on request. Since accreditation is not required for every activity, its absence is not a shortcoming where it is not required: a language school operating on its commercial register is exactly where it should be, and it has its full place on Formaxi with a completion certificate in its own name. The line is one: let every thing be called by its true name .
